Travel has always been essential to the art making process for me. Experiencing the Night summer light in Sweden and Paris, driving down a one lane road in New Mexico and seeing the wide open vista for miles on end. Experiencing the lava flow, white sandy beaches, driving past a tropical rain forest and looking out to snow covered mountains on the Big Island of Hawaii. These experiences and memories I take hold of and translate into sense memories that inform my work in the Studio.
