My paintings begin with sense-memory. Drawing on memory palace techniques, I return to lived experiences, using color, atmosphere, texture, and gesture to investigate what remains after a moment has passed. Rather than reconstructing a specific place, I approach painting as a process of discovery, allowing memory, perception, and material to reveal relationships that cannot be fully accessed through observation alone.

I explore the dialogue between natural and urban environments, where harmony and tension continually coexist. The paintings evolve through an extended process of layering, scraping, covering, and revealing, mirroring the way memories accumulate, shift, and resurface over time. I am interested in what remains hidden beneath the surface both within the painting and within ourselves. Just as we often conceal aspects of our own experience until time allows them to emerge, the painting gradually reveals itself through sustained attention. The longer I live with a painting, the more it discloses, uncovering connections that were not visible when I first began.

Color is both the subject and the method of my practice. I am fascinated by its ability to alter perception, evoke emotion, and communicate beyond language. My studio practice is driven by an ongoing inquiry into the material possibilities of paint, where experimentation with surface, transparency, opacity, and layering becomes a way of understanding how memory is shaped, transformed, and ultimately revealed. Rather than arriving at fixed conclusions, I seek to create paintings that remain open inviting viewers to slow down, discover their own associations, and experience the unfolding of meaning over time.
